Little Remedies Spring Giveaway

Happy Spring! While in some parts of the U.S. it sure does not feel like it, there is one thing that proves the change of season…another wave of colds, viruses and allergies!  One of the worst things ever, as a parent, is to see your little one sick and defenseless.  You feel useless and frustrated at not being able ease their pain. Sometimes a little help and relief can benefit child AND parent. However, prescription and over the counter medications can do a lot more harm than good.  Luckily, homeopathic and natural remedies are becoming more and more popular.

“A better way to get better”

I was recently contacted by Little Remedies, a company that supports the health and well-being of children. What makes them unique is that they provide safer, more effective products in comparison to other conventional brands. They believe that “less is more” and strive to make sure that each product contains just what is needed for fast, safe relief…no more, no less.  NO UNNECESSARY ADDITIVES, NO ARTIFICAL FLAVORS OR COLORS, NO ALCOHOL OR SACCHARIN, NO ASPIRIN OR IBUPROFIN, NO PARABENS….the list goes on.

Little Remedies offers everything from products to soothe gas or colic to stuffy nose kits to fever/pain reducers.  They were generous enough to send me the care package pictured above for my 6 year old daughter. The basket has anything and everything one might need or want when their “little” is sick. Best part, Little Remedies has authorized The Little Green Playpen to raffle off an additional FULL BASKET OF PRODUCTS to one lucky reader! That’s 9 products total…you don’t want to miss out on this! I must mention, most Little Remedies are safe and effective for newborns on up to adults! Please read labels and ingredients carefully.

You can find more information and a description of each product below and by visiting the Little Remedies website at They even have a cold and flu tracker map…just type in your zip code and you’ll find out the latest risks and symptoms to look out for in your area. You can also get discounts and coupons if your area is at high risk for illnesses.

To enter the raffle you must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of the United States. The contest ends Sunday, March 28th at 11:59pm. Winner will be contacted via email the next day.

The Big Prize Basket Includes:

For tummies…

Gripe water– for babies 2 weeks and up, toddlers, children and adults too! This herbal supplement is based on a time-tested formula from Europe that is more than 100 years old. It contains Ginger and Fennel which are highly effective, safe and beneficial as an aid to digestion and easing tummy discomfort and gas that can occur from hiccups and/or “colic”.  Comes with syringe. Paraben, gluten and alcohol free, no artificial flavors or colors.

Gas Relief Drops – for newborns, infants and children over two years of age. Relieves tummy and gas discomfort that can be frequently caused by excessive swallowing of air or certain formulas or foods. Contains active ingredient Simethicone for safe, gentle and quick relief. Works in minutes. Dye and Gluten Free. Natural Berry Flavor. Dropper included.

For Colds…

Honey Elixir– To soothe a sore throat or cough naturally. This elixir contains honey so child must be at least 1 year of age. Dye & Gluten Free.

Soothing Syrup – Also for soothing a sore throat or cough. Contains Elderberry to help boost the immune system. Also contains Honey so child must be at least 1 year of age.  Natural Berry Flavor.

Honey Throat Pops – These were my daughter’s favorite. Basically a lollipop that helps soothe a fiery throat or irritating cough. So much easier than trying to coat her throat with a yucky spray or getting her to suck on a lozenge. No dyes. Gluten Free. One downfall…contains corn syrup. 😦 I only made this an exception because she was in severe pain from coughing and vomiting. Made with real honey so child must be at least 1 year of age. (Also due to choking hazard, child should be supervised.)

Hydration Crystals– An electrolyte supplement that you can easily add and mix with child’s water. Helps to maintain hydration levels balanced during a cold or flu, especially if vomiting is occurring or child is not eating well. Contains Elderberry and Grapeseed Extracts. Please read label carefully for other ingredients. Natural Berry Flavor. Preservative and Dye Free.

For Fevers…

Infant fever/pain reducer – While I am not a Doctor, it is important to remember that a fever is a signal that your body is fighting off an infection. It is doing what it needs to do and suppressing a fever may actually cause an illness to last longer. Still, there are instances when a child is very uncomfortable and a little relief may be required. Little Remedies pain & fever reducer contains 160 mg of acetaminophen. If used responsibly it may be safe and effective at relieving discomfort for your sick little one. Paraben, dye and gluten free. Syringe is included to ensure safe and accurate dosage and minimize risk of accidental ingestion.  Natural berry flavor.

For noses…

Decongestant Nose Drops – Gentle formula to help clear nasal passages and ease discomfort associated with the common cold, congestion, hay fever or other allergies. No Pseudoephedrine or alcohol. Read label carefully.

Stuffy Nose Kit – Saline spray/drops plus nasal aspirator (latex free) – The saline spray is non-medicated and can be used as often as needed without worrying about harmful side effects or mixing medicines. The saline moisturizes dry and irritated or crusty nasal passage due to low humidity, heated environments, air travel, allergies or colds. It helps loosen mucus secretions to aid aspiration and removal from nose and sinuses allowing for easier breathing. It will not sting or burn delicate little noses and comes with a baby size applicator tip. Works great on adult size noses too!  No pseudoephedrine, alcohol, artificial flavors or colors. The Nasal aspirator is designed for newborns and infants. The soft, flexible, angled tip allows you to safely remove excess mucus and nasal discharge from baby’s tiny nasal passages so he/she can nurse, sleep and breathe easier when suffering from a stuffy nose.

“Everything they need. Nothing they don’t.”
